Kenapa masih wujud manusia bodoh sombong?

Biar bodoh , jangan Sombong. hahahahaha peribahasa baru aku.

The Praise of Folly (Greek title: Morias Enkomion (Μωρίας Εγκώμιον), Latin: Stultitiae Laus, sometimes translated as In Praise of Folly, Dutch title: Lof der Zotheid) is an essay written in 1509 by Desiderius Erasmus of Rotterdam and first printed in 1511. Erasmus revised and extended the work, which he originally wrote in the space of a week while sojourning with Sir Thomas More at More's estate in Bucklersbury. In Praise of Folly is considered one of the most influential works of literature in Western civilization and one of the catalysts of the Protestant Reformation.

It starts off with a satirical learned encomium after the manner of the Greek satirist Lucian, whose work Erasmus and Sir Thomas More had recently translated into Latin, a piece of virtuoso foolery; it then takes a darker tone in a series of orations, as Folly praises self-deception and madness and moves to a satirical examination of pious but superstitious abuses of Catholic doctrine and corrupt practices in parts of the Roman Catholic Church—to which Erasmus was ever faithful—and the folly of pedants (including Erasmus himself). Erasmus had recently returned, disappointed, from Rome, where he had turned down offers of advancement in the curia, and Folly increasingly takes on Erasmus' own chastising voice. The essay ends with a straightforward statement of Christian ideals.

Erasmus was a good friend of Sir Thomas More—another faithful Roman Catholic and detractor of Luther, with whom he shared a taste for dry humor and other intellectual pursuits. The title "Moriae Encomium" can also be read as meaning "In praise of More". The double or triple meanings go on through the text.

The essay is filled with classical allusions delivered in a style typical of the learned humanists of the Renaissance. Folly parades as one of the gods, offspring of Plutos and Freshness and nursed by Inebriation and Ignorance, whose faithful companions include Philautia (self-love), Kolakia (flattery), Lethe (oblivion), Misoponia (laziness), Hedone (pleasure), Anoia (Madness), Tryphe (wantonness), Komos (intemperance) and Eegretos Hypnos (dead sleep).

Moriae Encomium was hugely popular, to Erasmus' astonishment and sometimes his dismay. Leo X thought it was funny. Before Erasmus' death it had already passed into numerous editions and had been translated into French and German. An English edition soon followed. It influenced teaching of rhetoric during the later sixteenth century, and the art of adoxography or praise of worthless subjects became a popular exercise in Elizabethan grammar schools: see Charles O. McDonald, The Rhetoric of Tragedy (Amherst, 1966). A copy of the Basel edition of 1515/16 was illustrated with pen and ink drawings by Hans Holbein the Younger.[1] These are the most famous illustrations of The Praise of Folly.

No More Defections To Pakatan : Najib

(source NST)

DPM Najib Abdul Razak doesn't think there'll be anymore BN reps switching camps.

These are all rumours, he said.

It's still a shock to the BN, Najib remarked.

KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has dismissed talks that there will be other Barisan Nasional (BN) representatives defecting to Pakatan Rakyat.
“These are all rumours... I don’t think so,” he said when asked on the matter in the wake of Bota assemblyman Datuk Nasaruddin Hashim’s announcement yesterday that he had joined the Pakatan Rakyat.

Earlier Najib and wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor joined thousands of people at the Chinese New Year open house organised by the MCA at Wisma MCA here.

Describing Nasaruddin’s action as unexpected, Najib said, he hoped that Nasaruddin could think carefully his decision to join Parti Keadilan Rakyat, a Pakatan Rakyat component member.

The Umno deputy president said he was made to understand that Nasaruddin’s action was due to several factors. He did not elaborate.
Meanwhile, Najib, when met by reporters at the Gerakan open house here, said Nasaruddin’s decision took many by surprise.

“We heard about this two days ago but it is still a shock,” he said.

Najib said Umno and BN elected representatives should understand that the party had done a lot of good deeds to the people and the country.

“It is not right to abandon the party because of personal problems or dissatisfactions at a time when the party needs our support,” he said.

Najib, who is BN deputy chairman, said he would meet Perak BN chairman Datuk Seri Tajol Rosli Ghazali today to discuss the issue.

With Nasaruddin’s defection, the Perak Pakatan Rakyat government now has 32 seats compared to BN’s 27.

In a statement posted on PKR advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim’s website, Nasaruddin said, he made the decision after considering the interests of his constituents.

In the March 8 general election, Nasaruddin, who polled 6,556 votes, defeated PKR candidate Capt (Rtd) Usaili Alias with a 2,068-vote majority.

Salam,

He doesn't know anything (jahil murakab) even a simple thing he doesn't know.

Jahil murakab tu kategori no 4 sebenarnya.

1. Penyucian hati.
2. Taubat.
3. Pandang Aib sendiri jangan pandang aib orang lain.
4. Memaafkan dan meminta kemaafan.
5. Redha.
6. Qanaah (berpada dengan apa yang Allah berikan)
7. Hilangkan SOMBONG sebab SOMBONG ADALAH PAKAIN/SELENDANG ALLAH.
8. Istigfar meminta keampunan kepada Allah.
9. Tutup aib orang lain (Allah akan menutup aib kita).
10. Sabar
11. Menghormati pandangan orang lain.

The list goes on......
